Rev. Dr. Anne Kiome-Gatobu
Rev. Dr. Anne Kiome Gatobu is the C.E.O of Flourishing Springs, [a ministry of Self Care, Coaching and Creativity], and a life coach trained by Holmes Coaching Group Inc. She is also an affiliate professor at Asbury Theological Seminary where she was on full time faculty as Associate Professor of Pastoral Counseling for eight years, and served as the Dean of the School of Practical Theology for four years. Anne has been a local church pastor for a total of 8 years with the Great Plains UMC Conference. She received her Ph.D. in Religion and Psychology (2006), M.Div. (2008) and MA Pastoral Care and Counseling (1997) from University of Denver and Iliff School of Theology respectively, and a B.A. in Land Economics from the University of Nairobi, (1990).
Anne also served as a psychotherapist and Case manager with Lost and Found Family Counseling Center in Denver, CO (1999 -2001), and as a volunteer Pastoral Counselor at St. Luke UMC Counseling Center in KY.
A native born and raised in Kenya, Anne’s contribution to the academy and ministry is always augmented with the greater global worldview. In 2016 she received the United Methodist Global Award for her work with HIV AIDs orphans in Kenya. She is the author of Female Identity Formation and response to Intimate Trauma: A Case study of Domestic Violence in Kenya. She has also been a contributor to Lectionary Homiletics and has authored several articles and chapters in books. She lives in Nebraska, with her husband Haron, three boys, Te, Nabii and Munene, and a niece, Faith.

Dr. Alice Koech – Consultant
Dr. Alice Koech has been a Pastor in the Great Plains Conference of the United Methodist Church since 2012. She is a gifted preacher, counselor, and teacher. She has a Bachelor of Theology from Kenya Highlands University, A Masters in Christian Education and a Masters in Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary. She has a PhD in Family Science from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Koech is certified to provide PREPARE-ENRICH premarital counseling. She has worked as a senior pastor of two small congregations, Associate Pastor in a medium size congregation as well as Youth Pastor for the last two years. She is also an adjunct Professor of Counseling at Asbury Theological Seminary. Dr. Alice Koech lives with her husband Ezekiel and three children, Roy, Abby and Zackie, in Russell, Kansas.
